The Stornoway Story is a new mural trail being created by the Western Isles Community Society, celebrating the heritage, culture and people of Stornoway through art, storytelling and community collaboration.
We’ll be sharing more information as the project develops over the coming weeks and months. This is an evolving project, and while not all murals or digital elements are in place yet, we’re excited to begin bringing the story to life!

About the Western Isles Community Society
The Western Isles Community Society is a volunteer-led group with a proven track record of delivering for Stornoway.
Their work includes leading the much-loved Stornoway Christmas Lights Switch On and delivering major community events such as the Tattoo Metagama.
This group is proudly supported by the Supporters of the Western Isles Lottery based in the Broadbay area. The local Lottery has sub-groups across the Outer Hebrides benefitting from Supporters within their own respective communities between the Butt to Barra.
Through these initiatives, they have helped bring people together, celebrate local identity, and contribute to the vibrancy of the town - a commitment that continues through The Stornoway Story.
